Measure twice, order once.
1. Decide where the splashback will start and stop. Behind the hob? Full wall? Behind the sink? Mark it on the wall with masking tape if it helps you visualise.
2. Measure the width at three places — top, middle, bottom. Use the SMALLEST of the three. Walls are rarely square, and a panel cut to the widest measurement will not fit.
3. Measure the height the same way. Use the smallest figure again.
4. Note the position of every socket, switch, hob, extractor, and tap. Measure from the BOTTOM-LEFT corner of the splashback to the centre of each fitting, in both width and height.
5. Take a photo of the area. Even a quick phone snap helps us catch anything that might cause a problem.
6. Send the measurements and photo to us — we will check it before cutting and come back with any questions.
